Annual ECBP 2025 Event in Gorizia: Discussing the Future of Cross-Border Cooperation in Europe
The 2025 annual event of the European Cross-Border Cooperation Platform (ECBP) took place in Gorizia – a two-day meeting dedicated to the future of cross-border cooperation in Europe. The event brought together experts, regional representatives, and officials from European institutions to discuss current challenges and opportunities for life in border regions.
The main themes of the meeting focused on:
-
Resilience and inclusiveness of borders – how to create borders that connect rather than divide.
-
New EU cohesion and enlargement policies – their impact on regions and opportunities to obtain support for cross-border projects.
-
Practical solutions for better life in border areas – concrete initiatives and projects that improve the everyday lives of people living near borders.
The program also included a discussion on the future prospects of the European Grouping of Territorial Cooperation (EGTC), its role in European cooperation, and how the ECBP can support its development and enhance its visibility.
We are pleased to have taken part in the event and contributed to the discussion on cross-border cooperation. Such meetings are essential for regional development and the exchange of experience.
The ECBP 2025 event thus provided a platform for discussing European policies and practical solutions that improve the lives of people living in border regions.
