EGTC Via Carpatia and UPJŠ Signed a Memorandum of Cooperation

EGTC Via Carpatia has signed a memorandum of cooperation with Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice. The aim of the memorandum is to develop a long-term partnership, connect professional knowledge with practical application, and support activities focused on the sustainable development of the region.

The partnership also builds on the REHEATEAST project, implemented under the Interreg Danube Region Programme. Within the project, EGTC Via Carpatia and UPJŠ cooperated in the creation of the Energy Mix Map.

The map represents a practical tool that can be used by residents of the Košice Region, local authorities and potential investors to better understand the energy options available in the area. It can also support future territorial development planning and decision-making on suitable energy solutions in the region.

We believe that this partnership will bring new opportunities for the region, support further joint activities, and strengthen the link between science and practice.
