Octopuses for premature babies

We donated babies at the neonatology ward of the University Hospital L. Pasteur Košice.

Our talented seniors Alžbeta Ági Zsigmondová, Mária Kohlschovská and Irena Andrusová not only taught other creative women how to crochet during the activities at the Centre for Active Ageing, but also made almost 50 pieces of cheerful, colourful octopuses with them.

These crocheted trinkets have a beneficial effect on the heart rate and calmness of the babies, because the structure of the tentacles reminds them of the umbilical cord and they have the impression that they are still in their mother’s tummy.

We will continue in this activity.
