Opening of an interactive exhibition in Košice
As part of the “Élő történelem” – “Living History” project, a new interactive exhibition was ceremoniously opened on March 16, 2022 in the Lower Gate in Košice. Thanks to the cooperation of Via Carpatia EGTC (Jövő Útja Nonprofit Kft.) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of the Republic of Hungary, it was possible to acquire information and communication technologies, an information panel as well as various audiovisual elements. The new exhibition was created with the ambition to increase the number of visitors to the Lower Gate as well as to revive history and spread awareness of the history of the Kosice city. Mayor of Košice Ing. Jaroslav Polaček in a ceremonial speech presented the project and welcomed a special guest, Deputy State Secretary for Regional and Border Economic Development and Trade of Hungary, Mr. Dr. Kiss-Parciu and the Consul General of Hungary in Košice, Dr. Ágotu Hetey. After the speeches of the present guests, the director of EGTC Via Carpatia Ing. Julianna Orbán Máté, Ph.D. thanked partners as well as suppliers for their cooperation and highlighted the benefits of this project. The speeches were followed by an interactive wandering through the Lower Gate, which was accompanied by the well-known local patriot p. Milan Kolcún. The Lower Gate in Košice is looking forward to visitors and we believe that the experiential form of the exhibition and multimedia presentations will attract visitors.
