The international project Bridging Paradigms supports seniors in acquiring digital skills and facilitates their access to modern technologies through educational activities that also promote their mental well-being and social inclusion. The project transforms day centers into digital learning hubs that provide seniors with opportunities to develop digital literacy while simultaneously improving the skills of trainers. Its aim is to create a community-based approach that responds to the needs of older adults in the digital world.
Main activities of the project include:
• Development of digital literacy curricula tailored to the needs of seniors, with a focus on online safety
• Creation of a comprehensive handbook for trainers in day centers
• Implementation of the “Train the Trainers” course through virtual platforms
• Preparation of a plan for transforming day centers into local learning centers
• Conducting pilot trainings to improve the curriculum and teaching methods
