Summer with Seniors Brought Music, Traditions and a Pleasant Afternoon to Markušovce

Markušovce became another stop in the Summer with Seniors event series, which brings together music, traditions and shared experiences across the region throughout the summer. Once again, seniors, families with children and other visitors gathered in one place to enjoy a varied programme in a pleasant atmosphere.

The afternoon was dedicated mainly to folklore and folk music. Local performers brought regional songs and traditions to the stage, while Muzika Milana Rendoša provided the musical atmosphere. The programme naturally combined traditional culture with an enjoyable gathering of several generations.

There were also plenty of regional delicacies, complementing the character of the event and giving visitors the opportunity to taste local specialities. Among the guests was Rastislav Trnka, Chairman of the Košice Self-Governing Region, who met with both performers and visitors during the event.

Children also had plenty to enjoy, with a Fun Zone full of entertainment prepared especially for them. The event was therefore not only for seniors but also provided an opportunity for the whole family to spend an enjoyable afternoon together.

Summer with Seniors in Markušovce showed once again that traditions, music and shared gatherings continue to play an important role in the life of the region. The event offered an opportunity to spend time together, meet familiar faces, make new connections and celebrate the cultural heritage of the Spiš region.
