The Monitoring Committee of Interreg V-A Slovakia-Hungary Cooperation Programme held its 8th meeting
On 28 April, 2018 the Monitoring Committee of Interreg V-A Slovakia-Hungary Cooperation Programme held its 8th meeting. Members of Monitoring Committee endorsed the territorial action plan presented within the Priority axis 3 – Promoting sustainable and quality employment. According to the Decision of Monitoring Committee, the supported Action plan will be drawn up and submitted to EGTC Via Carpatia.
The target area of the Action plan is the Cserehát micro-region, which is characterized by high unemployment. The main objective of the Action plan is to reduce the unemployment rate and to restore the potential of the micro-region. The Action plan deems local production to the most important potential of the micro-region, which has to support the development of the region. The expected outcomes of the cross-border action plan is to create new jobs via following activities: building new multipurpose centers, building new plants for processing agricultural products, creating local marketplaces, developing a regional brand, setting up a network for local producers, organizing local markets and agro-events.
The action plan was submitted by a Cross-border consortium. The members of the Cross-border consortium are: enterpreneurs, municipalities, schools and non-profit organizations. EGTC Via Carpatia acts as the coordinator in the Action plan.
Project partners have to drawn up in detail each project plan after the Action plan of Cserehát micro-region had been approved. The deadline for submission of completed projects is at the end of Summer 2018. Due to the success in projects elaboration, the EGTC Via Carpatia organized project meeting for each individual project of cross-border Action plan on May 9th. The aim of the meetings was to define the most important tasks, to identify the necessary documentation for the submission of projects and to set the time frame.
