Renovation work on almost 200-year-old Patay mansion in Abaújszántó continues

The development of tourism has a significant cross-border impact on the inhabitants of Boršod-Aboúj-Zemplén County. This was also the reason for creating a project for the reconstruction of the Patay and Abaújszántó mansions.

At the moment, construction work is continuing, the exterior walls and the surroundings of the manor house have been modified. The reconstruction works are financed with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, the amount of the grant is 140 million forints. As part of the preservation of Patay Castle in Abaújszántó-Cekeháza, the building will be equipped with a new roof and the main walls will be statically reinforced and secured. The tourist use of the castle building has great potential.
